Meenakshi Ratnakar (born in 1945)
A self-taught painter Meenakshi Ratnakar’s guiding force for her paintings are her emotions & life experiences. A professor of Sociology once- to doing social work & travelling across the length & breath of India wherever her husband’s posting in the army would take her to travelling across the globe as a footwear expert (1988-2000), her paintings follow as varied mediums & themes as her life & life’s experiences.

After her first informal exhibition of stone sculptures she carved out of granite, sandstone & soft-stone, and commissioning ‘n number of paintings for various friends & clubs, this is her 1st time after retirement to venture into her 1st LOVE YET AGAIN.
